Dr Krug is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the prior and founding chief for the Division of Emergency Medicine at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Krug has held several leadership roles within the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), including member and Chair of the Executive Committee for the Section on Emergency Medicine, Committee on Coding and Nomenclature, and member and Chair of the Committee on Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He presently serves as the Chair of the AAP’s Council on Children and Disasters, and as the AAP’s Specialty Advisor to the American Medical Association RBRVS Update Committee. He has been actively involved as a leader within the federal Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) program for over 30 years, presently serving on the Advisory Boards for the National EMSC Data Analysis Resource Center (NEDARC), and the EMSC Innovation and Improvement Center (EIIC). He has also served as a subject matter expert on ad hoc committees and advisory boards for federal agencies on issues related to emergency and disaster readiness. Dr. Krug is also the editor-in-chief for the journal, Clinical Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Dr Linzer is the associate medical director for compliance for the Emergency Pediatric Group/Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and associate professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr Linzer has been a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) since 1987 and is active in the AAP sections on Emergency Medicine and Transport Medicine. He is also a member of the AAP Committee on Coding and Nomenclature and serves as the AAP representative to the ICD-10-CM Editorial Advisory Board. Additionally, Dr Linzer was the chair of the first ever pediatric topical advisory group as ICD underwent its 11th revision under the auspices of the World Health Organization. Dr Linzer is an expert in ICD guidelines and implementation has been actively involved in the ICD-10-CM transition in the United States.

Her practice was one of the first to receive medical home status with behavioral health distinction. PM Pediatric Care has developed a comprehensive telehealth program for behavioral health following the University of Washington’s well-known, evidence-based collaborative care model that includes therapy and medication management with oversight by child and adolescent psychiatrists who collaborate with the primary care medical home. Dr Marconi is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Administration and Practice Management, has served on the AAP Committee on Coding and Nomenclature Editorial Advisory Board, and has presented multiple sessions at the AAP National Conference & Exhibition.
Cindy Hughes is a consulting editor for medical coding publications including more than 10 years of contributions to the AAP Pediatric Coding Newsletter™ and annual updates to Coding for Pediatrics. Cindy is also a contributing editor to the American Academy of Family Physicians’ Family Practice Management magazine. She has spoken and written about coding for primary care services for approximately 17 years, and she also has many years of experience in revenue cycle management. She holds certified professional coder (CPC) certification and family practice specialty coding certification (CFPC) from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

She has been in private practice since 1997 and has owned her own practice since 2004. She has presented talks at numerous pediatric conferences and webinars. In addition to her private practice, she founded a pediatric consulting company that helps pediatricians with education and practice management.
