Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by significant developmental delays in language and communication skills; abnormalities in language when it does develop; significant impairments in reciprocal social behavior; a restricted and narrow repertoire of interests and behaviors; ritualized and repetitive behavior patterns; and stereotyped, destructive, and disruptive behavior problems.
