Studies have shown that treatment of ADHD with medication is effective in treating the symptoms of ADHD alone or in combination with behavioral interventions.
The use of medication is aimed at improving focus and academic productivity, but it does not change a child’s innate cognitive abilities. The goal is to allow children to work to achieve the full potential of their abilities.
